Is Triage for Photos available yet?
Not yet. It is coming soon for Mac and is not on the Mac App Store today. Email us to hear when it is.
Does it upload my photos?
No. Scoring and search run on your Mac. Pictures are sent only if you add an OpenRouter key and use the optional AI checks, and the app shows the cost first. See the privacy policy.
Can it delete something by mistake?
Nothing is deleted until you press the button in the apply bar, and macOS confirms on top of that. Library pictures go to Recently Deleted for 30 days; folder files go to the Trash. Favorites are never suggested for deletion, and every decision can be undone.
Can I use it on a folder instead of the Photos library?
Yes. Choose a folder (⌘O), drag one onto the window or the Dock icon. In folder mode, filing creates the destination inside the folder you opened; pick Somewhere else… to file anywhere else.
How do I search?
Type what you're after. A comma means or, two words mean and, and skip, not or a leading - leaves words out. Quotes find an exact phrase, and filters like is:receipt, has:faces, year:2024 or text:total narrow it down.
How long does the first scan take?
Every picture is read once and then cached. On a real 48,616-picture library, loading took about 20 seconds and scoring all of it about 13 minutes. Settings can cap the scan at the newest 1,000, 5,000 or 20,000.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything works without one. Signing in only syncs your decisions, AI answers, settings and search index to another Mac or iPhone.
What keyboard shortcuts are there?
→, Space or K keeps; ← or D marks for deletion; ↓ or S skips; ↑ goes back; ⌘Z and ⇧⌘Z undo and redo; ⌘F jumps to search; ⇧⌘A files into the album in the bar.
